Directions on Downloading
When downloading a program, simply follow the steps given. Always pay attention to where the program is being downloaded to.
When starting the download the first window that pops up will ask if you want to save it to disk. This can mean a floppy drive or your hard drive. Click O.K. The next window will ask where you want to save the file and give the file name. Most people have a download file they have created specifically for downloading. This enables you to find files more quickly. (If you do not have one, go to My computer, then your hard drive (usually C or D), click on File, then new, then folder, name the folder downloads or my downloads.) When you choose the file to save the program in, you may also rename the program if you choose. After that is done, hit save.

After the download to your computer is complete, please start installation.
For Windows double-click on aim95.exe file.
For Macintosh double-click on the aim.hqx file
Once installed you will have an icon on your screen for AOL instant messenger. To use, double click on it. If you already have an account enter your screen name and password to connect. If new user leave screen name on new user and click on sign in. It will walk you through the process to select a screen name. You will need to find out the screen names of your family and friends and program them into the program.
